About Seacoast Vineyard Church

Our Beliefs and Purpose

We hope that in this church you will find a place to worship God intimately, to hear practical, relevant messages from the Bible that will help you grow in your relationship to the Lord, and each other. A place where you can be yourself, find friends, and find an exciting relationship with Jesus. A place where you can grow into God's plan for your life. Visit the National Vineyard website for a more comprehensive listing of the Vineyard's beliefs.

Our Pastors

Tim and Karen Holt, Senior Pastors
Tim and Karen have lived along the Grand Strand for most of their lives. Tim played in beach bands, and surfed the east coast in contests during the 60's and 70's. After attending UNC-Charlotte they returned to Myrtle Beach, planning on taking his father's construction business over. However, after meeting Christ at a surfing contest in 1971, they became very involved in leading small groups of young people, and sharing Christ on the streets in Myrtle Beach. As the years went by, they have owned their own business, and served as youth pastors, worship leader, and associate pastor in Assembly of God and Evangel Fellowship churches. In 1997 they began the Seacoast Vineyard Church and serve as senior pastors. Tim is also the SC & NC Church Planting Coordinator for the Vineyard and the coordinating pastor for the Puerto Rican Partnership missions initiative.

About the Vineyard Movement

In 1974, Kenn and Joanie Gulliksen began a small Bible study in Los Angeles. It quickly grew, necessitating the beginning of other home groups, and the start of a Sunday service called the Vineyard. In the next few years, literally thousands of people received Christ in small groups and large meetings. Many went out and began other Vineyards in California, quickly growing churches with priorities of worship, relationship, healing, training, and giving.
